About Samantha

I've loved interior design for as long as I can remember. Growing up, I designed and decorated my childhood home, studied design magazines, and watched the first design shows on TV after school. I went on to study fashion and business, but interiors kept pulling me back. While I was home raising my daughter, I took on several renovations of my own, and in 2022 I started Samantha Karr Designs.

Today I work with homeowners and builders across the Twin Cities on new construction and renovations, plus furnishings and decor. My style is curated, timeless, and approachable, with a modern-traditional lean. I like warm neutrals and earthy tones, layered with textures, and rooms that feel finished but are still meant to be lived in.

Building or remodeling means hundreds of decisions, and that's where I can help most. I take time to understand how each client lives so the finished house feels like theirs, and I keep the details organized so fewer problems come up along the way. I work on my own, so you'll work with me directly from the first call to the final walkthrough.
